Statement of Faith

What we believe at Third Avenue Baptist Church is not man-made but has been revealed by God in Scripture. Our Statement of Faith is simply a summary of biblical teaching that explains what we as a local church agree the Bible teaches about God, the Bible, sin, the church, etc. Believe it or not, as members of a church we don't all have the same backgrounds or the same interests, and we don't all vote the same way either! However, when it comes to this statement of our faith - this doctrine - we are united!

Covenant

To be a member of a church is to be vitally connected to the life of a living, breathing body. It is to commit yourself to the good of that body, even as that body commits itself to your good. Our church covenant is a set of promises that we make to one another as members of Third Avenue Baptist Church. If our Statement of Faith is our declaration of what we believe then our Covenant is our promise to one another about what we will do.

Constitution

Our Constitution is a set of rules we have agreed upon which help us to function well as a church. These are the procedures by which, among other things, we elect our leaders, add members to our church, remove members, and generally order ourselves as we seek to glorify God and encourage each other.
