As part of our Old Louisville outreach, we would like to continue to strengthen ties with our neighborhood JCPS school, Cochran Elementary. Many of the students are from low-income homes and come to school hungry. A great way for us to love and serve them is to provide them with food pantry items, school supplies, and hygiene products. Here are some suggestions for the kinds of items that they would appreciate most:
Food: Canned goods (meat, veg, soup), ramen, pasta, pasta sauce
School Supplies: Pencils, glue, paper, scissors, crayons, post-its, erasers
Hygiene: Deodorant, female hygiene products, bar soap, shampoo, conditioner
We will be collecting the supplies listed over the month of February. Please drop off your donations at the church - in the office for the Pastor of Outreach, Ben Birkholz.
